Nintendo becomes the top Japanese publisher in 2010
Nintendos on top in Japan, by a long shot
Its only October but its never too early in Japan to start awarding things to companies. Nintendo has been revealed to be the top-selling publisher in Japan this year. The data comes from a Japanese blog that tracks daily sales and it counted all units sold up until the end of October this year.
Despite dwindling sales this year, Nintendo is on top by a long shot. With still the two biggest months of the year to come, it has already sold over 13 million games – a 56% to 44% split of DS and Wii games respectively. This amount is greater than the next 3 companies below it, combined. They being Square Enix, Namco Bandai and Konami. Weve included the top ten below (numbers are in thousands).

Square Enix had 63% of its sales comes from the Nintendo DS as well.
