Nintendo Australia has revealed the sales figures for the Nintendo DSis first 10 days on sale down under.

Nintendo Australia has announced that the Nintendo DSi has sold through more than 30,000 units from its launch up until April 12 (a period of ten days). The only relevant figures we have for comparison is the original DS launch back in February 2005 which sold 19191 units in its opening weekend (3 days). Along with the DSi figure Nintendo announced that the entire DS family has now sold through 1.9million units in Australia which is closing in on that ever present mantle of best selling console which is currently held by the PS2. Since 2006, Nintendo DS Lite has been Australia’s number one selling console. Nintendo in the same press release has reminded people that the 1000 free DSi Points are still available for every purchase.

Free to download, the Nintendo DSi Browser puts your Nintendo DSi online. Once online, you can visit the Nintendo DSi Shop and shop online for Nintendo DSiWare. The first time you visit the Nintendo DSi Shop, you will automatically receive 1,000 free Nintendo Points (available for a limited time only) which will allow you to download your choice of Nintendo DSiWare. Available now on Nintendo DSiWare for download: WarioWare™: Snapped! 500 Nintendo Points: Wario returns with more manic action made especially for the Nintendo DSi system. WarioWare: Snapped! uses the built-in Nintendo DSi Camera to make players the star of the show by placing them right into fast-paced mini-games. Take part in wacky challenges simply by moving your face and body as you travel along four wild roller coasters, hosted by Wario and his pals. Beat the mini-games using motions ranging from large to small, or play with a friend for even more fun. Pyoro 200 Nintendo Points: Take control of a cute bird called Pyoro as he tries to catch the fruit that falls from the top of the screen with his tongue! If the falling fruit hits the ground, a hole appears – leaving Pyoro with an ever-shrinking area in which to move. Worse still, if a piece of fruit lands on Pyoro’s head, it’s game over Paper Plane 200 Nintendo Points: A simple but addictive action game in which players have to guide their paper aircraft through mazes that get increasingly harder to navigate. Art Style: AQUITE 500 Nintendo Points: This fun and challenging mini-game is perfect to play on the go. Your aim is to help a little diver reach the bottom of the ocean, but getting there is more challenging than you may think! Art Style: CODE 500 Nintendo Points: Holding the Nintendo DSi sideways, like an open book, the goal is to switch around and rearrange digits, ultimately adding them together to make 10. Once selected, the digits adding up to 10 will all disappear. Different modes offer variations on this simple yet addictive rule to ensure hours of number-crunching fun! Nintendo DSiWare is available in four price categories: free, 200 points, 500 points, and 800 or more points.
