Nintendo Australia outlines early 2013 release dates for Wii U and 3DS games
Nintendo Australia has sent us out a huge press release with a ton of release dates. Granted not every title has a release date pinned down to an exact day, some are just vague dates but they’re all before March 2013. The list also confirms some releases of games we weren’t sure we were getting but now know for sure.
Some of the bigger titles include the likes of Devilish Brain Training, Fire Emblem, Sing Party, Lego City Undercover, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Animal Crossing New Leaf.
Wii U owners won’t be waiting long for a new game in the new year with Sing Party the first cab off the rank to be released on January 19th.
The retail side of the Nintendo 3DS is less exciting but there is a few eShop titles which will help fill the drought especially in January, after that though there’s a nice flood of titles including some of the ones mentioned before.Time to start planning the money, there’s some good stuff coming.

Brace yourselves for the post launch drought. Happens to every machine mind you.
Zen Pinball WiiU this month? Thank you very much
Where the heck is Trine 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????
Still no Wonderful 101 *sigh* was really hoping I wouldn’t be screwed over RIGHT away because I bought a PAL machine…and it’d be nice to finally get a real release date for the WiiU Colonial Marines, oh well
Ditto for the Wonderful 101 but the US doesn’t even have a release date yet either. So your hardly being screwed over. Especially with Wii U game pricing being very reasonable in Aus.
Nintendo have said they still have a few surprises, was kinda hoping they would leak 1 or 2 by now.
I was in a bad mood when I read this post and commented, so I miiiight’ve been overly pessimistic (maybe even a lil too dramatic *ahem*) and you’re right, it doesn’t yet have a specific North American release date; however it is due within the ‘launch window’ there but hasn’t gotten a mention at all for us, which worries me. And again maybe I’m being too pessimistic, but it’s just the sort of game I’d expect to see such a delay here – and I really hope not because it’s one of the few known upcoming exclusives that I’m excited for
No release date for Ninja Gaiden Razor’s Edge?
What about Trine 2?!?!?
When the heck is that coming? And we better not miss out on the special discount!!
WTH! I think the most important part of this list is that Pikmin 3 has been pushed to Q2…you gotta be kidding me Ninty..
Mighty Switch Force HD? Trine 2?
Nintendo Australia is at least consistent in their incompetence.
Yes!!! I’ll finally get the chance to play Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends!!!!…Jokes aside I can’t say I’m impressed by the 3DS retail line up. Apart from Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing there’s really nothing to look forward to (well for me anyways) :(. I’m worried about Castlevania with the gameplay being more combat oriented as opposed to the classic “metroidvania” style, as well as Sonic Racing Transformed, my decision on whether to purchase that game ultimately hinges on whether it has online multiplayer. Disappointing that there is nothing about Devil Survivor Overclocked since Europe finally receives that Feb 22nd.
On the other hand the 3DS download titles look really promising. Lastly I’m surprised and completely stumped as to why Nano Assault is being released after Nano Assault EX, when the latter is supposed to be an updated version of Nano Assault (If I’m not mistaken)
You know there was another style of Castlevania before Metroidvania, right? An action-oriented style of 2D platforming? That’s what the new game is aiming for. The Lead Designer is a huge fan of Dracula’s Curse and is taking inspiration from that game, so while they may not be going full Metroidvania, there’s still gonna be a lot of platforming and exploration as well as action and combat.
I’m really not sure why people are getting so sceptical over this game. I’m just glad to see a new side-scrolling Castlevania, and after 7 Metroidvanias in a row I’d rather see a slightly different take on it anyway.
Rayman Legends!
*drools*
For those of you in Aus who want Trine 2 and mighty switch force, create another user and set their region to uk. then change the country of the console to uk to activate online services, and buy them from uk e shop. i did and they are great. there is a bit of stuffing around to do it, but easy enough. the only downside is you lose points for the premium package discount.
