Reached the game breaking but in Skyward Sword? Nintendo has some tips…
Since Skyward Sword was released its been discovered that there is a game breaking bug in the game that will stop you from being able to finish the game. Without giving too much away, later in the game when youre on the quest for the Song of the Hero there is certain order you should complete the regions in and a character to avoid talking to. We will let Nintendo explain;
How to avoid the issue
The quest for the Song of the Hero should be completed in the order: Faron Woods -> Eldin Volcano -> Lanayru Desert (or, alternatively: Volcano -> Woods -> Desert). If you have gone to the desert before doing both the woods and the volcano parts of this quest, then after you have the Thunder Dragons Song make sure you go on to the other areas without speaking to a Goron called Golo at the entrance to Lanayru Mine.
The issue that prevents you from playing further
In the quest for the Song of the Hero, after you get the Thunder Dragons Song in the desert, the cutscenes that start the sequences to get the songs in the volcano and the woods wont occur and so you wont be able to get any further in the game.
Cause of the issue
Speaking to a Goron called Golo at the entrance to Lanayru Mine after getting the Thunder Dragons Song in the desert will clear the conditions for triggering the cutscenes for the other areas. As a result, you wont be able to get any further. (If you already have the songs from the woods and the volcano then no problem will occur.)

So what happens if you do get this glitch? First up you can send your save file to Nintendo to get it fixed, youll need to copy the save file from the Wii to a SD card and mail it to them. In the future Nintendo will be offering a piece of software for you to fix it yourself, sadly the Wii has no way to easily patch this kind of bug.
