Nintendo announces some big changes coming to Miiverse

Some big changes are coming.

Nintendo might be closing down Club Nintendo, but Miiverse is here to stay and this “Summer” which is codename for sometime before September.

The new update brings two big new features, a screenshot album and a play journal and the latter will change the way Miiverse functions. Firstly, the screenshot album will allow you to save up to 100 of your favourite screenshots to keep forever. It’s a private album so no one else can see it, if you want others to see it record it in the newly announced Play Journal.

This journal replaces the your activity feed, it allows you to add a screenshot and text during gameplay as before. This now means you can’t post to your activity feed anymore without being in a game first.

Communities are updated now too with these new features and a new design to boot. You can sort posts by Play Journal entries, Drawings or see Discussions as before. Nintendo is obviously trying to cut down the amount of spam and rubbish on Miiverse as they’ve now introduced a daily 30 post or comment per day cap.

What do you think of these changes to Miiverse? Let us know in the comments below!
