Nintendo and Anker team up to create officially-licensed battery packs for Switch
Anker has announced that it has teamed up with Nintendo to released licenced portable power banks for the Switch. The PowerCore 20100 and PowerCore 13400 Nintendo Switch Edition have a neat Switch-like design and output via USB-C. This means it’ll have enough power to charge it while being played and give 15 additional extra hours playtime. It also has a fast charge so you can go from 0% to 100% in just three hours.
Powering the Switch has been a point of contention since launch, most USB battery packs either don’t output enough power or have enough capacity for the Switch. Then there’s the whole portable dock issue, having an official option on the shelves could be popular.
So far these have only been announced for America and there’s no release date just yet.
