Nintendo has released their first big Nintendo 3DS firmware update into the wild – the eShop is here! But that’s not all. This update is delivered as firmware 2.0.0-2E (otherwise marked as U or J depending on your region) and will also bring a few other goodies that you should be aware of. Here’s the official list of updates from Nintendo themselves.

New applications and functions for the Nintendo 3DS in this update include:

– Nintendo eShop
– Web Browser
– Transfer functionality to move DSiWare from the Nintendo DSi/Nintendo DSi XL to the Nintendo 3DS system
– Automatic system updates
– Improved stability and performance of the system

And you’ll want to get in quick for the update too, as the free offer of the 3D Classics Excitebike will expire on July 7th.

Stay on Vooks throughout the day as we go hands-on with the update – the eShop, the new games available on it and more.

Get downloading, folks!
