For years when we updated the Wii firmware we were told the Parental Controls had been added to the console. Now Nintendo has followed through with the thread and actually made a big change – well at least on the 3DS.
The latest 3DS firmware update allows parents to register an email address within the Parental Controls. This address can then receive instructions for unlocking the Parent Controls if they forget the pin code. So parents get in there first and put your own email, not your kid’s.
Oh and there’s system stability and usability just like usual.
The update should have downloaded to your 3DS by now if you have auto-downloads on and only takes a few seconds to install.
