Next Smash Bros. game could take a while says Sakurai

However our “patience will be rewarded”.

Video games take a while to be made, the Smash Bros. series is one of those ones that takes a little longer. There’s a Wii U and 3DS version of the game in the works and it’s safe to say they’re going to take a while. So much so that Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai, who has just finished Kid Icarus: Uprising has come out and confirmed that the two games may take a while.

Speaking to Nintendo Power magazine Sakurai has revealed that the games might take a while not only because they’re complex games but because he hasn’t even really put a team together yet. However it’s not all bad news, he say that our “patience will be rewarded”.

So despite Nintendo revealing that a new Wii U and 3DS version of the game was in the planning stage at E3 2011 its safe to say not much work has actually been done on it yet. Stay strong Smash Bros.
