New Switch model announced with a massive battery life increase

Nintendo has announced a new model of the original Switch is on the way. The new model will have a massive battery increase over the original model.
No other changes have been announced at this stage. The system will retail for the same price as the Switch is currently now. You’ll be able to see which is the new model with the new packaging seen above.
Here’s how the battery life compares. The new model is highlighted, with the Lite on the right.
The new model will be out late August in the US, and September in Europe. Australia will receive the new version this “Spring”. That’s sometime between September and November. No word yet on how much it costs considering our Switch consoles are always on discount.
