Shortly after this year’s E3, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed a ground-breaking feature in New Super Mario Bros., dubbed “demo play”. It was said that the optional feature would allow players to pause a game during a particularly difficult level and let the game take over to complete the level.
A recent update to Nintendo of Europe’s news page has revealed that the game’s feature will only show you how to complete certain areas, rather than complete them for you, as mentioned below.
“New Super Mario Bros. Wii is also the first Nintendo game to feature a dynamic help system, which allows you to access a mode showing how a level can be completed if you are stuck.”
That is, the game will demonstrate what moves to make, and leaves you to imitate those to progress. Of course, this won’t stop you from allowing the feature to complete most of a level, then taking over at the end, but what would be the fun in that?
Effectively, “demo play” helps reduce barriers of entry for new or younger players, and dismisses the need to go out and buy a strategy guide or turn to websites with walkthroughs in order to advance through the game.
New Super Mario Bros. is expected to be released in November.

Definitively done with the Wii U now.
Because Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War is too long to fit in a title.
