New Super Mario Bros. Wii receives perfect score from Famitsu
Obviously very happy with the plumber and friends latest outing, each editor from the big Japanese gaming magazine gave the game top marks
The reaction to Nintendos first 2D console Mario title in three generations, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, has been very positive so far—it currently holds a score of 86/100 on Metacritic and we gave it a 9.2/10 in our review. However, the Japanese games publication Famitsu has rewarded the game a very high honour: a perfect 40/40 score, which means each one of the magazines four editors gave it a 10/10. It was only just last week Famitsu gave Bayonetta a perfect score, they are handing them out like candy as of late.
As a result of this, Nintendo consoles and handhelds now have eight out of the thirteen games given 40/40 by Famitsu, with only Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker not from this generation.
