First system to launch with an (original) Mario title since the N64.
Nintendo has announced the much expected news that New Super Mario Bros U and Nintendo Land will launch with the Wii U when it hits Japan on December 8.
This will be the first time a brand new Mario game (not Super Mario 64 DS) has launched with a Nintendo system since the Nintendo 64.
Nintendo Land has been confirmed to be on sale alongside New Super Mario Bros. U, so that rules out the title being included as a pack-in in Japan. Remember, Wii Sports was not a pack-in title in Japan, so it remains to be seen how the title will be sold overseas.
New Super Mario Bros. U will sell for 6000 yen ($74), while Nintendo Land will adopted a more budget price of 5000 yen ($61).
From Mario to Zelda, to Splatoon to Donkey Kong. Everything on Nintendo Music.
