You quite possibly missed it underneath all of the New Super Luigi U news, but New Super Mario Bros. U director Masataka Takemoto recently made an announcement on the Miiverse that New Super Mario Bros. U would be getting a downloadable update around the time that New Super Luigi U is released digitally.
The update will add the ability to purchase the New Super Luigi U expansion directly via the game with no need to go to the eShop. The update will also add the ability to play New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U both with the Classic Controller Pro too – a feature we and many others were wishing happened when the game came out during the Wii U’s launch.
Of course, the update will be free.
Now, Nintendo, when will you let a second player play the game with the GamePad instead of tapping blocks? We’re waiting.
