New Super Mario 3D World reveals new Ghost Mii and Stamps features
New footage of Super Mario 3D World has been released on Nintendo Japan’s Youtube channel and it doesn’t disappoint.
The game features a number of worlds, levels, features and power-ups – in addition to looking awesome.
Among the new power-ups demoed is the cherry duplication power up which duplicates Mario or any character up to 6 times. The returning favourites of the Tanooki suit and Boomerang suit are also shown and much loved Mega Mushroom is in and can even be used in multiplayer.
There’s also several different blocks Mario can wear on his head and items to pick up. There’s a cannon block which can shoot at faraway enemies, a Beam block for defeating ghosts, the coin block from New Super Mario Bros. 2, the propeller block, baseballs to throw and you can steal and ride in Koopa shells and even put the head of a deceased Goomba on. Must be nice and warm.
Speaking of things to ride there’s an ice skate we’ve seen before in the previous trailer as well as the ride-able dinosaur that all four players can get on.
Something new though is the Ghost Mii internet play, it appears you can now race against friend’s ghosts online to see who can get the highest score or fastest time. One step closer to online play then. Lastly the trailer shows off the new stamp feature which are unlocked as you play through the game. You can then use the stamps in Miiverse posts. The stamps feature all the characters from the game and you can stamp them into your Miiverse posts.
Oh and the game continues too look amazing, just brilliant.
Wow, just wow. I might not have been keen after E3 but now I can’t wait to get my paws on it. Love the stamps idea.
