New Pokémon Sword and Shield trailer shows off Gigantamaxing

In awe at the size of that lad

We’re now deep into the Pokémon Sword and Shield hype cycle, and The Pokémon Company is delivering in spades in an all new trailer.

As teased earlier, some Pokémon undergo form changes when Dynamaxed, and we now know what this called, thanks to a new trailer from The Pokémon Company — Gigantamaxing.

Gigantamaxed Pokémon change in size and appearance, gain a significant power boost, and gain access to a unique G-Max Move — which means some Pokémon can’t Gigantamax at all. Think of it like Mega Evolution and Z-Power all rolled into one.

The trailer also introduces new Gym Leaders — some of which are exclusive to one game or the other — new Pokémon, and a better look at the Galar League.
