The Pokemon Company has dropped a fresh trailer for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon along with some new information and artwork to go along with it.

The biggest and weirdest reveal was the newest Pokedex. In Pokemon Sun and Moon you get a Pokedex that is inhabited by a Rotoom. It’s called the Rotom Pokedex. This new Pokedex does more than just record the Pokemon you catch and meet, but it also tells you where you are and where you need to go. You can even talk to it!

The region of Alola and some of the people who live in it were also detailed in the trailer. We’ve now got a full look at the hero and heroine of the game, and as we saw in the last trailer how much you can customize their look. The professor in Pokemon Sun and Moon is Pokemon Kukui, he’s pretty casual – the fact that he doesn’t wear a shirt should tell you that.

Two other characters were revealed, Lillie – he’s the professors mysterious assistant. She doesn’t like Pokemon Battles and will be a key part of the story. Your friend in the game is Hau, he’s the same age as your character and really loves his Pokemon.

Solgaleo (Sun) is a Psychic Steel Pokemon with Full Metal Body ability. Lunala (Moon) is a Psychic Ghost Pokemon with the ability Shadow Shield.

QR Scanner

In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, there is a QR Scanner function that allows you to see information about Pokémon when you scan QR Code patterns. With the QR Scanner, you scan in a QR Code and check the information about the Pokémon that corresponds to that QR Code. There are QR Code patterns in various places all around you, so try scanning them.
