New original Zelda for 3DS before any Majoras Mask remake
Eiji Aonuma confirms theres a new 3DS Zelda in the works
The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has confirmed that there is a brand new original Zelda title in the works for the Nintendo 3DS. "We are already preparing a new game, a game in the series for the Nintendo 3DS, but don’t think that it is a direct sequel to the Zelda titles released on DS," Aonuma has told MyGames. The game will be more like the console games and less like Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Very cool.
Majoras Mask on the 3DS a possibility?
Fans of Majora’s Mask will be happy to hear that a remake like Ocarina of Time 3D could still be on the cards as well. "It’s something I’m asked about often and I assure you that it is something I’ve spoken to Miyamoto about. But recently we released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D as a remake. We are considering the idea, but it didn’t seem right to launch a remake one after another, so the next Zelda game on 3DS will be original."
A brand new portable Zelda before we get a Majora’s Mask? Can’t complain about that!
