New Official Australian Nintendo magazine on the way

Gaming magazines really don’t seem to last, these days. That isn’t stopping Nintendo, though! A new Official Nintendo Magazine will be published by the Future Publishing group in Australia and New Zealand – as is the case in the US and UK. “”We are really excited about the new agreement. By establishing a partnership with Future Publishing Australia, we are able to extend the Nintendo brand into a new environment with a locally produced magazine on the newsstands””. Says Nintendo Australia’s Director of Marketing, Greg Arthurton. More inside “”We will also benefit from the well established relationship which already exists between the companies in other territories, and we will integrate that into the way we work together here too. We definitely see the magazine as being an important part of our evolving communications strategy in this region, not least to ensure our customers can get the best out of their consoles with a complementary offering.””

Sharing a publisher with the US and UK official magazine does mean that international content will be available to them, so it may be slightly more up to date than an unofficial magazine. With the added bonus of being official, we may even see some new things in the magazine, first.
