My Nintendo will launch in 30 countries this much. That includes Australia and New Zealand as we confirmed last year as well North America, Europe, Japan, Russia and South Africa.

The service will reward members with two types of points, platinum points and gold points.

You will be able to earn platinum points by simply logging onto the eShop, playing games, visiting Nintendo’s website. These points only earn digital goods like wallpapers, Home Menu themes for the Nintendo. These are more ‘fun points’ Nintendo says.

Gold Points are more valuable but can only be earned by buying games from the eShop. You’ll get discounts on further games with these points.

My Nintendo will start off with points program, coupons, email newsletters and web downloads but eventually open up to including friend lists, cloud data and in store offers.

Nintendo has also reconfirmed you’ll be able to purchase games from your phone or computer and have it download on a system.

Nintendo’s first goal with My Nintendo is to reach 100 million users.
