New Mario Galaxy 2 power-up is a walk in the… air
The latest and greatest power-up to grace the legendary plumber is a cloud
Introducing… Cloud Mario. The new power-up gives Mario the ability to walk on clouds, but not just any old cumulonimbus; no sir, these are the happiest, most adorable clouds to have ever been stepped on.
Theres no official word yet on exactly how the clouds will work. Looking at the artwork above, it seems they will be in the form of stationary steps, as opposed to the Lakitu clouds you can ride (and even control) in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
The power-up is the latest in the slew of new abilities in Super Mario Galaxy 2 – the others being Rock Mario, Light Yoshi, Dash Yoshi and Blimp Yoshi. The game is certainly looking to be deserving of the number "2".
Super Mario Galaxy 2 will blast onto shelves in T-minus two months.
