New Goldeneye game for 2010?
Is Activision planning a new GoldenEye game for next year? Leaked resume says yes
The last time a company tried to use the GoldenEye name on something it didnt work out too well, but Activision could be trying to do the same again. According to a now pulled resume from game developer Craig Peck, the company is now working on a new GoldenEye game which is due for release next year which is heading to the Wii as well as the Xbox 360 and Playstation. The leaked resume contain such revealing statements such as confirmation of working "on Activisions James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii". Game workings such as "key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation".
EA, who previously held the licence for the James Bond franchise, tried to trick gamers with Goldeneye: Rough Agent, which of course had nothing to do with the N64 original. More recently, Rare and Microsoft were confirmed to be working on a HD remake of the title, but it was ultimately rejected by Nintendo who didnt like the idea of Goldeneye being on the Xbox 360. Guess they must have enough money and dont want any more.
Activision is yet to comment on the resume or Goldeneye 2010 but well keep you informed.
