New Dragon Quest title heads to Wii
But dont get too excited, its based on an arcade game
Its not the Dragon Quest X rumour going around, but it is a new Dragon Quest game for the Wii. Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road Victory is based on an arcade game released in Japan last year and its due out in Japan in the middle of the year.
The game is a card based battler which uses real cards to summon monsters into battle. You can summon these cards with a DSi Ware app which uses the camera to scan the cards in. Of course you can play without as the DSi Ware app does require a separate purchase.
The Wii version will replicate the arcade version but will have the advantages of being on a home system, such as online battles and four player battles. A new Tournament mode is also feature.
This game has only just been announced for Japan but itll probably be released in Australia at some point.
