The Legend of Zelda series Producer Eiji Aonuma has revealed new details about the upcoming 3DS title, A Link Between Worlds.

The game will be a sequel to SNES classic A Link to the Past and will include an alternate universe known as Lorule.
Aonuma has explained Lorule will not be a direct mirror of Hyrule. Lorule will instead be its own world featuring its own ruler, Princess Hilda.

The main antagonist of the new Zelda title is a suspicious sorceress named Yuga. According to Mr Aonuma, Yuga’s interaction with both Princess Zelda and Princess Hilda are what set the story in motion.

Eiji has also elaborated on new elements such as the item rental system, and how he wants the game to be a challenging experience with less handholding throughout.

With all this in mind, take a look at the neat new trailer below:

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.
