There’s some fresh new details in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine for the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS Animal Crossing installment. While the article contains a lot of information that we already know such as the you playing the mayor there is a bunch of new stuff that’s worth a look.
The biggest news is that two new stores that are open in the game. Tom Nook now runs Racoon Housing and instead of handing you over a house you now start with a tent which you can upgrade (for likely an exorbitant fee) into a larger house.
The other big new store is the Gardening Store which is run by a sloth and its the first time there’s been such a store in the game. You’ll be able to buy seeds for flowers and trees here instead. It should make prettying up your town much easier.
The magazine also confirmed that the Museum and Able Sisters stores are in the game. Other stores added include a thrift shop from Lisa the Alpaca, a shoe store and a shopping mall beyond the train tracks.
Animal Crossing: Jump Out as it’s known in Japan is on track for release this year but everyone else will have to wait until 2013.
