Switch

Netflix and other streaming apps won’t be on Switch at launch

But Nintendo "are considering it”.

Video game consoles more than ever aren’t just for playing video games, even the Nintendo 3DS has Netflix, Hulu and other video streaming services.

The Switch however, at least on launch won’t be able to do anything other than play games.

Speaking to Kotaku, Nintendo has said the following on the subject;

All of our efforts have gone toward making the Nintendo Switch system an amazing dedicated video game platform, so it will not support any video-streaming services at launch. However, support for video-streaming services is being considered for a future update.”

While it’s probably not a deal breaker for anyone, let’s hope we’re not waiting for apps like Netflix or even a Web Browser too long.
