Coming from the popularity of last Decembers Wii U eShop title NES Remix, Nintendo have announced NES Remix 2. For those unaware of the concept, NES Remix takes memorable scenes from some classic Nintendo games of yesteryear and tasks players with completing short challenges and mash-ups within the familiar worlds.

NES Remix 2 brings the same type of gameplay but with a new set of games and challenges to face. Drawing inspiration from titles such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Punch Out, Metroid, Kirby’s Adventure and more, a whole heap of crazy remixes are sure to challenge you. Also, if you aren’t sick of the overload of Luigi just yet, there is some more good news.

A full version of Super Mario Bros. has been remixed and included with the game! In this remix, you play as Luigi and the entire game has been mirrored, meaning instead of running left to right, you must complete every stage in the game running right to left. Luigi also brings along his signature high jump.

NES Remix will be available on April 25th 2014 in Australia as well as Europe.

Here’s the part of the Nintendo Direct with the footage of NES Remix 2.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
