NES Emulator for Xbox One somehow passes certification

Countdown until takedown begins..

Somehow a developer has managed to get a NES emulator certified for release on the Xbox One and it could be out any day now.

NESBox will let Xbox One players load NES ROMs through a USB stick and play the classic system on Microsoft’s box.

Seeing as how Nintendo cracks down on anything resembling a Nintendo game not on a Nintendo console, it’s probably not going to allow Xbox owners to just simply load NES games onto its console. Especially as they’re still selling many of them on the Virtual Console and Nintendo wants to sell the Mini NES Classic later this year.

Countdown until takedown begins..
