I don’t understand why they bothered to release the battery pack. The damn thing has ~20 hours of battery life for God’s sake!
That said though, the yellow Joy-Con are ssssooo pretty. It looks like it even has a hint of green in it. It’s extremely disappointing that the yellow straps are being sold separately instead of, oh, you know… being included in the already expensive set! I doubt that the individual L and R Joy Con will be available separately, at least outside of Japan. I imagine that most consumers would prefer to get the full set rather than buy random Joy Con piecemeal. And where’s our yellow grip?!
Love the yellow Joycon and resisting the urge to trade in a pair of the grey for them.
Is the Joycon battery packs really just AA powered? Looks like it would make them bigger/more comfy, so I’d happily buy them if they came with rechargeable batteries (or buying my own worked).
I love the idea of the AA battery packs, as the thing that annoys me most with the current setup is that you can’t completely switch them off and whenever you travel with them, the slightest touch of their buttons causes them to power up and try to sync to a console.
This will allow me to travel with them and not arrive at my destination with half flat joy cons
