The Wii U lineup begins to fill up... slowly.
Need for Speed Most Wanted has been known to be coming to the Wii U for some time now, even as far back as October last year when the game launched on the other consoles. Finally though we have a release date and first details on the Wii U version.
The game isn’t a straight port however, Criterion have mixed up the game slightly. The biggest addition is the new local co-op mode called Co-Driver. One person will play the game using a Wii Remote or a Wii U Pro Controller just like normal but the second person takes the GamePad to help the main player with navigation, change the time to day or night, annoy the police and even control the level of traffic on the road.
If in-real-life-backseat-driver mode isn’t you cup of tea and you prefer to play alone you can play the game entirely on the Wii U GamePad, you’ll also be able to use the map, adjust you car and keep track of stats on the GamePad as well.
In addition the game will include the Ultimate Speed Pack DLC. The McLaren’s F1 LM, Lamborghini’s Aventador J, Pagani Zonda R, Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and Hennessey’s savage 275 mile-an-hour ragtop beast, the Venom GT Spyder are all included.
Planning on double dipping? Any Speed Points earned on Wii U will add to your existing total if you are playing the game on any of the other available platforms.
Need for Speed Most Wanted for Wii U will be available March 21 in Australia for $89.99 and March 22 in New Zealand for $99.99. Which is the only bad sounding thing about this.
See how much you did, or didn't play things.
