It was just a logo at the end of the Nindies Showcase last month, but now we’ve got our first look at NBA Playgrounds.
NBA Playgrounds is a return to arcade style hoops int the spirit of NBA Jam and NBA Street. The game features players who are currently playing as well as those from the history of the NBA. The game features single-player, local multiplayer and online.
NBA Playgrounds will be released in May for $20USD. It’s coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop as well as the PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Remember how Bill Clinton was a hidden character in the console versions of NBA Jam? Will this game have Donald Trump in it?
Let’s start a movement, it’s not too late! #dunkondrumpf
Ugh. And yet *another* overpriced eShop exclusive. It’s going to cost about AU$30, plus it’s going to take up a fair amount of storage on the micro SD card (and that storage doesn’t exactly come cheap). Couldn’t they have released it as a budget-priced (say $50) retail title?
Wish it didn’t look hideous…
