NBA Playgrounds online enabling patch still MIA for Switch
The promised patch for NBA Playgrounds on the Switch, the patch that would add online modes to the game is still missing in the action.
The game released on the Nintendo Switch with no online modes, the developers of the game said it would be coming ‘a few days’ after launch. It’s been more than a few days.
Update will be coming to all platforms for NBA Playgrounds in a matter of days/weeks, we'll be releasing them as they come for each!

@jfmthuglove As soon as we have an update so we can zero in on a date, we'll let ya know. We're working now to bring this and online to Switch.

This lack of patching hurts even more with the game getting an update on the PC to fix several big bugs, improvements and even new content. Not a good way to endear yourself to a fanbase.
We’re reviewing NBA Playgrounds currently but may hold off on publishing it until we know more about the online features – or lack thereof.

So disappointed with this release.
I actually fired this up last night to see if online had been added yet – of course it had not. Figured i’d have a quick crack anyway (portable mode).
Finally get into game after the shocking loadtime from character select to match start. Won the tip, smashed one home then the switch vibrated enough to settle concrete and made a horrible noise new consoles just shouldn’t make when vibrating.
To which i thought – “That’s right, I forgot it did that” – and turned it off, ’cause i’m done with using system settings to turn the rumble on and off every time i switch to that game.
Good luck getting a refund – even if the product isn’t operating as expected (Vibration is unusable and online feautres are nowhere on the horizon despite pre-release promise of ‘a few days’) – Because any link about eShop refunds takes you to a page that essentially says “You won’t be getting one”
Surely this refund policy (or lack thereof) is not particularly legal under Australian Consumer Law?
Call Nintendo Support, and tell them you’re entitled to a refund under the Sales Act: Goods not fit for purpose. Quote the Devs re: Online. Be Polite. Get a name or transaction number, write down everything. If they don’t refund you make a complaint to the ACCC.
I’ve never done it but I’m pretty sure this is how people have gotten refunds for Star Citizen.
