NBA Playgrounds gets ‘Enhanced Edition’ on Switch, free for existing owners
A new NBA Playgrounds ‘Enhanced Edition’ has arrived on the Australian eShop tonight and it’s free for existing owners. This enhanced edition is clearly Saber Interactives way around getting the patch size limitations they have been struggling with since the game was originally released.
The game is a free download for existing owners and is not an update the game you already have installed. If you were passing on the purchase the game is now 50% off for a limited time, it brings the price down to just $15 AUD.
Aside from that, we’re not quite sure what’s enhanced about the game as the game description on the eShop is copied verbatim from the PC version on Steam. We’ve got the game downloading and will let you know what’s changed in it as soon as possible.
well i am an owner but the game ins’t free for me :/
I purchased this game on day one of launch and have no problems getting my free copy, in fact it’s downloading now, I am not sure if it may be something that relates to when you purchased it as I know Saber has in the past given users with problems a free game (Shaq game) due to the problem with online play at the time if launch. Sadly I didn’t take advantage of that and have no idea where I would have been able to get that but it just goes to show the oddness of Saber.
If by “enhanced” they mean redesigned all the gameplay systems I’ll be A) reinstalling it and B) speaking their praises all over the place. Somehow I doubt that’s what they mean.
Ill wait without holding my breath
