Priced like myNotebook at 200 points, myPostcards is set to arrive here on April 23rd in the same week it hits the US. Its Aussie developer Nnooo seems quite pleased with the effort theyve put into it.
"We have worked hard to ensure that users can quickly and easily make a postcard whenever they find themselves in a situation which they simply must share with friends and family," said Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo. "We really like the idea of capturing a moment on camera and adding a note to share with friends. There was always something nice about getting a postcard in the mail from friends and family and we feel that with myPostcards we are providing a more modern take on this great form of communication."
The app allows anyone to turn a picture, whether it be directly from the DSis camera or already saved, into a great little postcard in no time at all. The editing system from myNotebook is tweaked for this, with 50 new backgrounds (some exclusive to those with Nnooos other apps) and 12 stamps available to use. The end result can be uploaded to Facebook directly from the device, or saved to the SD card for later emailing or printing.
"myPostcards allows any Nintendo DSi owner to create a neat looking postcard to record any situation or event and then share it with friends," said Watt. "Once they have made the postcard they can email it, print it out and post it or even upload it to Facebook."
However, your creations arent just limited to those you know, as the developer has put up an official Flickr group for sharing your best work.
