In a recent interview, the group manager of Marvelous Entertainment has stated that the company is eager to provide a 3DS port of the Wii title Muramasa: The Demon Blade. “That is one of many things we think our fans want, and we want to provide them” Tomio Kanzawa replied when asked if he thought the game could benefit from the system’s 3D stereoscopic effect.
Whilst obviously not an official announcement, it seems the desire is there. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is one of the best side scrolling action games on Wii and the genre is very much suited to a handheld system, evidenced by games such as Metroid Fusion and the Castlevania series.
In addition Kanazawa revealed that the company currently has both a Harvest Moon and Animal Resort title in the works for the 3DS. The former being the ever popular farming simulator, although it is unknown whether it is a traditional entry into the series or part of the Rune Factory spin off series which adds dungeon crawling elements.
No release dates were provided for either title.
