After much confusion, Nintendo has confirmed multiplayer for Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
The upcoming 3DS title will include download play, an online option, and allow up to four people to participate in ghost-busting action at once. Although information regarding multiplayer is scarce, Nintendo has detailed Hunter Mode.
This mode will involve players taking control of one of the four Luigi and then working their way through the Scarescraper to clear out as many ghosts as possible before the timer runs out.
Along the way there will be upgrades, boss battles, the ability to revive teammates, the chance to play through 25 floors, and also the option to adjust the game difficultly based on team experience.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will be released in both digital and retail forms in Australia sometime during March. An official release date for the title is yet to be announced, so in the meantime check out the Hunter Mode trailer below.
