The Earthbound/Mother franchise has never gotten it’s fair shake in the west. Nintendo America has basically ignored the franchise and as a result when Nintendo failed to localise the last game, Mother 3, on the Gameboy Advance, the dedicated fans decided to translate the game. The translation was not an easy task but at long last this week the project will be complete. The game translation applies to a ROM, which is sad because it will basically make most fans resort to piracy to play the game. But Nintendo America has left fans with no other choice.
