As the release of New Super Mario Bros Wii draws closer, more details of the game have been revealed. Now confirmed are 8 new worlds in the game, with multiple branching paths for a non-linear experience. That pause when you get a powerup or die has been toned down so now it only happens when someone grabs a powerup.
As well as co-op, there is full on competitive multiplayer modes dubbed Free For All and Coin Battle. There are new levels specifically for the multiplayer modes, as well as levels from the co-operative modes that you can play in – but the exact number of levels remains a mystery.
The casual-friendly Demo Play has finally been given an official name; that name is "Super Guide". Super, huh? Well you’ll have to be doing pretty poorly at a level to have the feature appear, as you need to die 8 times for it be enabled. On your ninth life, the level will begin and have a green box from which Luigi is released and shows you how to finish the level. You’ll be able to take control of him at any time after that.
New Super Mario Bros is due sometime in November here in Australia, but exactly when remains a mystery.
It's Black, Back Again.
If these aren't the coolest graphics...
Loco Motive, MySims: Cozy Bundle, Stray, Nine Souls, Servonauts.
