As Easter is upon us, I thought it was time to hop to it and give another update on some of the games that have been announced for Switch recently. Games like XIII Remaster and God Eater 3 have their own posts, because of the nature of things, but the rest can be found here. So grab your rabbits foot and your easter basket, it is time for the hunt to begin.

Masquerada: Songs and Shadows

A friend’s disappearance leads Cicero Gavar on a journey through a fantastical world inspired by Renaissance-era Venice and brought to life in a vibrant, hand-drawn art style. Cicero will crush foes in real-time combat with tactical pause, combining his control over the elements with those of his companions on their adventure through a society at war with itself.

Only the wealthy and powerful can lay claim to Mascherines, masks that grant magical powers, though they have grown even more elusive in the five-year civil war that has destroyed many of the precious artifacts. Cicero’s party will unearth how intimately the secrets of their pasts are intertwined with the war, their society, and the history of the Mascherines.

Helvetii

With three different characters, that each have their own unique play styles that vary your playthrough, plus their individual motivations. Mixing and matching them will provide you access to learn to mix their unique patterns with the powers of the game.

For each playthrough, the game will redistribute its rooms and power ups to give you an always unique playthrough. Meaning that with multiple characters, room configuration, enemy encounters and upgrades, the game remains a fresh experience.

Light Tracer

Light Tracer is a former VR Platform-Puzzler which is now coming to Switch. In it, the Player is a godlike creature who has to guide a princess in despair up the enormous Tower of Bellbatis.

In the game, the player controls a mysterious godlike entity who can wield a magical Light Staff in one hand while using its other hand to interact with the game world, helping the Princess reach the safety of the tower’s pinnacle. The Light Staff guides the Princess forward while the player manipulates the world to get a better view, interacts with object triggers and moves items to turn barriers into bridges. As the player progresses, the entity’s hidden relationship with the princess is gradually revealed.
