Monster Hunter is a big deal, so it coming to the Switch is also a big deal and while we have not had any confirmation of a release outside of Japan, given their history it is likely to happen, but not until 2018, if the history of release timings holds true. However, until then, we can all enjoy how nice the game looks, with these screens that Capcom released.

Once we hear word of a local release, we will endevour to let you know as soon as we can.

The environments look okayish in terms of visual fidelity but the monsters and character models are obviously using blurry upscaled textures from the 3DS version. Some (all?) of the HUD elements seem to also be taken from the 3DS version considering how low quality they are. Also, where’s the map (I asume they turned it off intentionally to hide the level layouts)?
