Out March next year.

As promised earlier in the week Nintendo held a special Monster Hunter Nintendo Direct for Japanese audiences last night. The twelve minute presentation announced Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross), a sequel to Monster Hunter X. We know it as Monster Hunter Generations. The game will be released in Japan on March 18th 2017.

Although it has a new name the game is just an expansion to Monster Hunter X, it’s unlikely we’d see an expansion such as this released outside of Japan – by the time its translated as well – who knows where the 3DS would be. We will keep updated of course, should that change.
