It’s only been mere hours since the game released in Japan but the Nintendo debut for the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Tri is heading to North America and Europe (and we assume that includes us) for early 2010. Confirmed.
Strangely Nintendo, not Capcom has commented on the games western releases saying that “The popularity of the Monster Hunter franchise in Japan is undeniable and the Day 1 shipment number indicates that the release of Monster Hunter Tri on Wii will be another major hit for the series. We are therefore really excited that Capcom is bringing this title to Europe so the Wii audience here can also experience the thrill of the hunt”.
However you won’t have to wait until 2010 to see the localised version with the GameCom convention on this month in Cologne Germany and the game will be playable at the Capcom booth.
Monster Hunter is a huge franchise in Japan and it’s great to see the latest version game in the series get a go elsewhere.
