Not only has Monster Hunter 3 (tri) sold a bunch at retail it’s also a win with the critics. The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has given the game a perfect score of 40/40, a 10 from each four of the reviewers.
The last perfect score was given out just back in July to Dragon Quest IX. This now makes it only the 11th game to get the top score, other games include;

– Soulcalibur (1999, Namco, Dreamcast)
– Vagrant Story (2000, Square Enix, PSOne)
– The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003, Nintendo, GameCube)

– Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, Nintendo, Wii)

Monster Hunter 3 was recently announced to be coming out in early 2010 for North America and Europe.
