Midway do the backflip and decide to release Mortak Kombat: Deception on the Cube After all. No Rumours this time all truth. Midway Games Inc. (NYSE:MWY), a leading interactive entertainment industry publisher and developer, today announced plans to bring the latest iteration of it’s world-renowned Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise, Mortal Kombat(R): Deception(TM), to the Nintendo GameCube(TM) in the first half of 2005.

Mortal Kombat: Deception takes martial arts-style fighting and the Mortal Kombat franchise to new heights with an innovative engine delivering intensely in-depth, blood-spurting action that will appeal to long-time Mortal Kombat fans as well as current-generation gamers. The game features powerful hand-to-hand and special weapons combat, four unique gameplay modes (Kombat, Konquest, Puzzle and Chess Kombat) along with all-new fighting combinations and multiple character specific fatalities.

Mortal Kombat: Deception is scheduled to ship October 4, 2004, for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft.
