At this years E3, Nintendo revealed the 3DS along with a slew of new games for the new system, some of which weve yet to hear about apart from just a few screenshots. One of these games is the next installment in Nintendos long-running Mario Kart series. So far weve only seen a few screenshots for it, but in a recent interview with Pocket-Lint.com good ol Shiggy finally told us some more about the game, specifically how the 3D works. "We’ve found that pulling the camera far back to observe the car racing works really well."
He also spoke a bit about the advantages of the 3DS and 3D gaming as a whole. "Whats really exciting is our new ability to have a sense of depth. Once you have the true 3D visual it becomes very clear where all the objects are on that space, so jumping on objects becomes easier."
The 3DS is expected to launch in Australia sometime in March. Weve yet to see any proper gameplay of Mario Kart 3DS, but hopefully Nintendo will have a demo of it at their New York 3DS Press Event in January.
It's Black, Back Again.
If these aren't the coolest graphics...
