Capcom knew it would have its work cut out for it when it had to bring the game over, and unfortunately genie Hakushon Daimao (or you may know him as Bob in the Bottle) wont be making the cut. Speaking to Siliconera, Ryota Niitsuma, Producer of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom has said that “He’s [Hakushon Daimao] not in the game. We had some licensing issues with him so we weren’t able to obtain him for the American version.”
This means that not only will the character be missing from the fighting line up but his included mini game will also get the chop. However all is not lost with new characters taking his place in addition to other new characters.
Hakushon Daimao is a genie and the lead character in a 1970s anime series. Capcom added him to the home version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Unfortunately, Daimao and his math mini-game will remain in Japan. New characters will replace Daimao, but Niitsuma was careful not to reveal them at this time.
