“Mini Mario & Friends” amiibo game free for Japanese amiibo purchasers revealed

More standalone amiibo fun.

Nintendo has just announced a new stand alone amiibo game for Japan. How they’re going to get it and how we are might end up just being a little bit different. A code for Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge will be given to anyone who buys an amiibo in Japan from January 28th onward.

There will be two codes for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, its looks essentially like Mario vs. Donkey Kong Tipping Stars with a new amiibo spin.

Nintendo says that the game will be made available on the eShop at a later date, but no date is currently decided. Nintendo’s unlikely not to release the game outside of Japan, when though is another thing. We’re also going to assume this is the game NST have been working on.

Check out the game at the end of this trailer for the campaign. It’s about 57 seconds in if you’re impatient.
