Minecraft: Wii U Edition won’t use the GamePad for the inventory at all

So well, uh, that's something.

Nintendo went and dropped big announcement of Minecraft: Wii U Edition earlier this week, about time we said. It was revealed that the game would support Off-TV play, you know just like pretty much every other game on the system. The real cool thing, and one that everyone thought would make sense is to use the GamePad also for the inventory in the game. Sadly this will not be the case. Owen Hill who is the Director of Creative Communications at Mojang has taken to Twitter to confirm the the GamePad simply just redisplay whats on the TV completely missing the point of being on the Wii U at all. One hope, he does say ‘not at the moment’. So it could be added in the future in an update or patch, then again its taken us years to get the game in this form. What hope do we really have of that?
