The eShop favourite Mighty Switch Force will be coming to the Wii U for launch in glorious HD. Creative director Matt Bozon at Wayforward has revealed in a new interview with Nintendo Power that the game will be brought over to the Wii U and its digital download platform for launch. “We’ve really enjoyed developing for Nintendo’s download services and really want to be there for the Wii U launch,” he told the magazine.
The Wii U version will have new redrawn HD graphics in the style of the A Boy and His Blob remake on Wii. The game will use the Game Pad’s screen much like the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS as a map, you will also be able to play the game on the screen too. Bozon admits this isn’t a ground-breaking use of the second screen, but you does open options for how you want to play.
Nintendo hasn’t detailed its online shopping plan for the Wii U just yet, but with a big back catalogue of WiiWare and Virtual Console titles on the shelf we’ll probably see the store available day one, no matter what it’s called.
Super Thunder Blade and ESWAT: City Under Siege are the other two, they're just really…
Star Overdrive, Promise Mascot Agency, Pocket Bravery, Snow Bros. 2 Special and more.
At least ones from Nintendo.
