Its Prime Time!

Metroid Prime one of the most anticipated games to every be developed by Nintendo since Zelda Ocarina of Time, Prime begins in where the old game left off, The game start with Samus exploring a abandoned ship during her time on there she manages to loose all her powers and all of the advantages her Varia suit provides her with. The game then goes on to the next “level” were the main objective is to regain all your abilities and then ultimately your Suit.

Graphics

The graphics for this game can be summed up in 2 words “Best Ever” there main graphics of the game are good for even up against a PC, but we all know that, the thing with MP is that its the little effects as well as the big effects that make this game. First up on the table is the weapon effects, well what can I say? The piddly little blaster even looks like a nuke going off and when missile etc are fired the vapour trails and the rest of the effect for them are brilliant also I’ll noted when you go close to a bright light you can see Samus’s face in the reflection of her visor and when you go close to fire the inside of your visor also fogs up and the same with water and with the rain you can see the raindrops.

The Characters are also very well animated and look very very freaky just as they should.

Sound

For starters let me just say that this game has some of the best music in a game since Zelda OOT and it really sets the mood up for the whole game. Effects, well some of them are good and the others not so good. Its good to see Nintendo/Retro using some of the old Metroid theme we know from other games such as the Save point music, when you recover items and the like. And me having a Dolby Pro Logic II compatible it just WOW you really cant describe it until you here it.

Gameplay

The Simple Dynamic Gameplay of the game is truly unique, the engine of the game, the controls are what set Metroid Prime from other FPS and TPS (third person shooter). Ill start on the controls, at first you might play this and think what crap I cant do anything, but as with a lot of Nintendo games you really have to have patience to play the game to its fullest, however this may dissawaid casual gamers.

Difficulty

Now this is where Nintendo and Retro got it just right, dont be put off by the huge bosses etc. The games difficulty is hot/cold and should be alright after a while.

Lastability

I dont need to tell you now that you have 40+ hours the first time type thing, and you’ll be going back for more too get that hot pic of Samus.
